Hair Loss In Women
In women, genetic hair loss is probably inherited from both parents although the parents need not exhibit the problem themselves. The thinning of hair normally occurs at the time of menopause but can occur in younger women who have a genetic predisposition to the problem.
The patterns of hair loss in women are not as easily recognizable as those in men. Dr. Ludwig, one of the most recognizable names in Trichology presents here a series of pictures charting the progressive hair loss in women. You will notice that the frontal fringe is preserved despite progressive loss over the top of the scalp. He charts the progress in gradations of hair loss.
